Performance Day Guide

Morning & Pre-Performance:

  • Light warm-up exercises: lip trills, humming, short scales
  • Drink plenty of water (at room temperature, sip slowly)
  • Light breakfast that does not trigger reflux
  • Avoid heavy, spicy, carbonated, and fatty foods

Pre-Performance Preparation

  • Ensure the environment is humidified (use a humidifier).
  • Pay attention to dust and dry air conditions on stage.
  • During sound check, focus on breathing and resonance exercises; avoid loud singing.
  • Manage stress and excitement with deep diaphragmatic breathing.
  • Keep your water bottle within reach.

During the Performance

  • Use controlled and technical voice supported by proper breath.
  • Perform breathing and resonance exercises during short breaks.
  • Apply breath and resonance support for high and treble notes.
  • Be aware of environmental conditions: dust, dry air, air conditioning; if needed, take short breaks backstage.

Post-Performance

  • Light cool-down exercises: humming, lip trills.
  • Allow the vocal cords to recover with silence and rest.
  • Moisturize the throat with warm water or herbal tea; you may add a small amount of honey or lemon.
  • Avoid excessive talking and singing loudly.
